- Karl & Dark Arts TV | Paranormal Investigator
The Frontline of Independent Paranormal Documentary
In an industry crowded with theatrical jump scares, manufactured tension, and corporate TV scripts, Karl has built a lasting reputation rooted in raw documentation and technical grit. Long before YouTube existed, he was already out in the field, navigating pitch-black abandoned structures with a shoulder-mount VHS camera and a torch.
As the creator, lead investigator, and filmmaker behind Dark Arts TV, Karl has kept that tape-era mindset at the heart of his work for over fifteen years online—approaching neglected wards, decaying asylums, and forgotten architecture as authentic historical inquiries.

The Evolution of Dark Arts TV
Uncut & Authentic: Ambient room sound, genuine environmental shifts and patient observation instead of artificial sound effects or staged reactions.
Cinematic Technical Rigor: Modern digital night vision, full-spectrum optics and true low-light capture bridge gritty urban exploration with documentary filmmaking.
Global Footprint: Historical UK landmarks, abandoned Victorian hospitals, Appalachian mountain structures and remote underground bunkers across Europe.
Dark Territory: Bringing Real Chemistry to Broadcast
Alongside long-time co-creators Sean Kenna and Sean Owen, Karl hosted and worked as a paranormal investigator on the investigative series Dark Territory, distributed across Prime Video, Tubi and Apple TV.
Natural Team Dynamic: An unscripted balance of skepticism, historical research and technical tracking.
High-Stakes Environments: Cold-war nuclear bunkers and derelict Victorian complexes where the history of the walls creates the atmosphere.
Creative Integrity: Broadcast experience reinforced a direct, raw focus on the investigation itself.
A Quiet Force in Modern Paranormal Research
Pioneering Custom Hardware: Karl designs specialised field sensors for clean environmental data gathering, moving beyond gimmicky commercial gadgets.
Dedicated Archival Content: Extended cuts, archival field logs and unfiltered behind-the-scenes material remain at the heart of Dark Arts TV.
Commitment to the Craft: Documentation stays focused on real history, technical precision and respect for the locations he enters.
The Master Behind the Sound

Under the moniker SINIUS, I don’t just compose dark ambient music—I engineer visceral soundscapes designed to plunge listeners into profound realms of dread, anticipation, and otherworldly mystery. My compositions transcend traditional background scores, forging immersive auditory experiences that evoke deep emotional and psychological responses and draw audiences into forgotten narratives and chilling sonic landscapes.
My extensive body of work has cemented SINIUS as a defining sonic signature for the paranormal and supernatural YouTube community. His music sets the atmosphere for acclaimed projects including Dark Territory and Dark Arts TV, while also contributing to the terrifying lore of Stephen Cognetti’s Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire and defining the soundscape of Steve T. Shippy’s Haunted Saginaw films, including A Haunting on Brockway Street, which premiered at the Temple Theatre. This isn’t just music—it’s the living pulse of supernatural storytelling, adding depth, tension, and emotional weight to the genre.
A true highlight of this journey was an incredible collaboration with Akira Yamaoka, the legendary composer behind the Silent Hill franchise. His performance of additional remixes on the SINIUS tracks Voices From Within and Matter is Energy stands as a testament to SINIUS’s unique resonance and contribution to the horror and dark ambient landscape.
SINIUS is passionate about pushing the boundaries of sound to create unforgettable emotional experiences—music that does more than accompany a story, but helps bring its unseen world to life.
